Kids Activities Marbella

Do you often find yourself as a parent looking for things to do with kids in Marbella? Keeping kids occupied with fun activities is an important part of family life, but it can also be a challenge. Do the same thing too often and the kids are bored.

Thanks to the fantastic weather we enjoy in Marbella and on the Costa del Sol, kids here are able to spend a lot of time outdoors. In the summer, most kids are happy to spend hours around a swimming pool, or on the beach, but even this has its limits as a form of entertainment.

Fortunately there is an abundance of other activities for kids in Marbella, including ones that they can pursue as hobbies, plus places they can visit during the holidays and on weekends that are both fun and educational.

Sports activities for kids in Marbella

Tennis is a great sport for kids and it can even become a career; just look at Rafa Nadal. Many of the tennis and padel clubs have kids camps during the summer months where classes are organised by age group. The tennis club in BelAir, Estepona has a summer camp, as does the beachside club in San Pedro de Alcántara, the Manolo Santana club off Marbella’s Golden Mile and there is also the Hoffsaess Tennis Academy in Elviria. Horse riding is another popular activity and one that can be enjoyed throughout the year. The School of Equestrian Art in Estepona is highly recommended for young riders. There are football clubs and sailing classes for children as well as a number of martial arts clubs with classes for specific age groups.

Fun animal places to go with kids in and around Marbella

Most kids love anything to do with animals, especially if there is an opportunity to interact with animals that are never going to be a domestic pet. Marbella and Estepona offer a number of places where kids can enjoy some animal entertainment. Selwo Safari Park outside Estepona is always popular, as is the BioParc Zoo in Fuengirola. And what about the Crocodile Park in Torremolinos that is home to over 200 crocodiles. Alternatively, take a dolphin-watching trip from Benalmádena port and maybe visit its Butterfly Park afterwards.  Or take the cable car up to the Jardin de los Aguilas (Garden of the Eagles) where you can see over 160 species and a performance by a Golden Eagle.

Visit the biggest play and activity centre on the Costa del Sol

There is one place that is guaranteed to tick all the boxes with kids and that is Mundo Mania, the Costa del Sol’s biggest play and party centre. Based in Estepona, children also come from Marbella and further away to have fun at a play centre that caters for both indoor and outdoor play. Indoors we have a superb interactive soft play area for babies and toddlers, as well as a massive indoor playframe with slides, ramps, sports field, power tower, ball pools, trampoline and climbing wall for 4 – 12 year olds.

Outdoors there is a magical water park, two multi-sports pitches, trampolines and a small baby and toddler play area. There is seating outside for adults where they can enjoy the sea and mountain views while keeping an eye on the kids. Indoors we have a café and bar area for children and adults offering a menu suitable for all ages. And, as teens are often forgotten in many activity centres, we have put that right and offer a games zone specifically for the teens, with pool, table tennis, table football, air hockey and foot pool! And they can play football outside as well.

So, if you live in Marbella or Estepona and you’re looking for a fun things to do with kids after school, on the weekend or in the holidays, come to Mundo Mania – it’s a world of fun for everyone!
