Easter Activities

Easter activities for kids in Estepona and Marbella

Semana Santa, or Easter week, (14th-21st April) is usually a school holiday. It is one of the most important festivals of the year for Spaniards, but the majority of its traditions are more appreciated by adults, although children do accompany their parents to the extravagant processions that Andalucia excels at.

Many of the Semana Santa events are not intended to be fun, until we get to Easter Sunday, or Pascua, when the sober processions are replaced by lively and colourful parades: the floats are festooned with flowers; lively music replaces the sad tones and people indulge themselves in all kinds of traditional sweets and pastries.

Mundo Mania is joining in the Easter holiday traditions by putting on entertainments on Good Friday and Easter Sunday (Viernes Santo and Pascua) where youngsters can make the most of their holiday from school before going back to their studies on the Monday.

Easter fun at Mundo Mania

Good Friday/Viernes santo 19th April

On Viernes Santo/Good Friday, we are hosting an Easter Bunny Craft Corner, where children will be able to make, or paint, a magical bunny that traditionally brings chocolate Easter Eggs in the UK. And, if the weather is good on that day, we’ll be re-opening our fantastic Wet Play Zone, which is always a big favourite with kids of all ages.

Easter Sunday/Pascua at Mundo Mania

From 12pm onwards, we have a massive amount of activities organised for all ages. There is an Easter Egg Craft Corner where children can make egg designs. Then we will have one of the great British traditions of Easter Sunday – the Easter Egg Hunt –where every child will have the opportunity to show us all how good they are at finding things that are hidden, especially when they are made of chocolate.

And, because Easter Sunday is a day for everyone to celebrate, we have organised games for kids and adults, so Mum and Dad get a chance to join in, rather than standing on the sidelines and watching kids have all the fun. There will also be face painting, and Easter Piñata, and other entertainments laid on by the Party Team. It’s going to be a fantastic afternoon and the perfect way to end the holiday.

Our standard entry fees apply for both these days: 7€ (1 to 3 years) and 12€ (4-12 years).

Mundo Mania is open for kids with longer Easter holidays

We are aware that Spanish traditions at this time of year are slightly different to those in the UK, and that children at international schools here will have a longer break than their Spanish friends, which is why we’ll be open as usual throughout the two-week Easter break. You will find us open on Easter Monday, 22nd April from 10:30 – 20:30.

Come and join the Easter Fun at Mundo Mania in Estepona – bring the whole family for a really exciting holiday treat!
