Activities Malaga

The best fun activities for kids in and around Málaga on the Costa del Sol

Parents coming on holiday to Málaga province in the main head for the Costa del Sol. While Mum and Dad look forward to relaxing poolside or on the beach, children are also entertained for hours on end by being in the water and on the sand. However, that won’t keep them occupied all day, every day of the holiday.

And, when you are on holiday for just two weeks, and you are unfamiliar with what is available for kids of various ages, the only thing you can rely on is recommendations from other holidaymakers and locals, or the staff at a resort. The alternative method is to trawl through the Internet, where you will indeed, find some excellent information about the huge variety of activities on offer along the coast.

Theme parks

Theme parks are universally popular with the majority of children, and Spain Holiday has put together this great guide to Theme Parks in Malaga. It covers the water parks in Fuengirola and Torremolinos, as well as mini golf and more. Nearer to Marbella, Aventura Amazonia theme park is a brilliant outdoor experience with zipline rides and adventure circuits. There is also a Minikids course for 4-7 year olds.

Animals galore

The BioParc Zoo in Fuengirola is another winner with everyone and is open until late, making it possible to spend the whole day out here. It isn’t a massive zoo, but it is an important breeding centre for endangered animals and all the family can check out the Komodo dragons, the 100-year-old tortoises and the gorillas, tigers, crocodiles and more. Selwo Aventura in Estepona is a combination of zoo and theme park. It has developed an African Adventure with activities, demonstrations and interactions with animals that will delight all the family. It has a diverse range of animals including lions, tigers, elephants and giraffes, as well as many smaller animals. It also has an archery centre, a Kuruka, (the Swahili word for ‘jump’), which is a giant trampoline experience and a zipwire ride that is one of the longest in Europe.
