As Christmas, and the time for Los Reyes, approaches, kids are building up a full head of steam of excitement. Not only will they have a holiday from school they also can’t wait to see what gifts they’ll get and indulge in an enormous assortment of sweet goodies.
But after the sugar rush of Christmas, it’s back to school in January: kids feel deflated and parents are spent out after the expense of the festive season. Inevitably this results in what is called the ‘January Blues’, and kids are just as susceptible to this as their parents. The prospect of waiting until next December is like a lifetime for a child, although parents will be well aware that it comes around all too quickly.
However, there is an inexpensive way to keep their spirits up and keep the party going in a more low-key way, but one that satisfies children’s wish to have fun. The answer is the After School Club held at Mundo Mania, a term time treat that will lift your kids’ spirits and give mums and dads a break from having to think up new ways to entertain them.
The Mundo Mania After School Club is held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during term time. It is open from 3pm until 8.30pm on these days, providing more than five hours of playtime that will solve the problem of built up energy.
The After School Club is open to children aged from one to twelve years of age, and while the smaller children enjoy the safety of the soft playframes, the older kids can test their skills in the huge ball park, on the outdoor trampolines and in the wet play areas (weather permitting!). The interactive play frame for the babies and toddlers has been specifically designed to give this age group a fun and stimulating experience, with the added benefit of socialising with other children and making new friends. The older children can go wild on the trampolines and the large playframe with its ball park, triple slide, twister slide and power tower, or test their agility on the climbing wall.
And while the children work off their excess energy under the supervision of Mundo Mania’s helpful, cheery and safety-conscious staff, parents and carers can take the opportunity to relax with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake in the Mundo Mania cafe. Indeed, as a special treat, why not give the kids their evening meal here – the menu has a vast selection of pizzas that can be shared at extremely reasonable prices.
It doesn’t have to costs a fortune to entertain the kids after Christmas: the After School Club only charges €3 for babies and toddlers aged 1-3, and €6 for 4-12 year olds. And play is unlimited within the After School Club hours.
If your kids seem a bit ‘blue’ this January; bring them to Mundo Mania and we’ll show them that the fun doesn’t stop at Christmas.
